VAD306: Assigning Sounds to the Pads (Kit Edit)

Each of the TD-17's Kits can be customized to your liking. Assigning desired instruments (sounds) to each of the pads is a good place to start.

Here's how:

1. Choose a Kit to Edit. (Note, even the factory kits 1-50 can be edited if desired).
2. Press the ASSIGN button.
3. Press the function 1 button so that the H&R selection is not checked.
4. Hit the pad - or portion of the pad (head, rim, bell) - that you want to assign an instrument to.
5. Turn the dial to select the desired instrument.
6. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for any other pads.
7. Press EXIT when you're finished. The new settings are saved in kit automatically.
