The following article troubleshoots in the event that no sound is being output of the headphone jack.
- When listening to audio, be sure that the level meter is moving:
If there is no movement in the meter, there is no audio being input or played back. The following article troubleshoots low input volume:
https://www.roland.com/us/support/knowledge_base/201980039/ - Be sure that the VOLUME knob next to the PHONES jack is turned up. While this is, of course, rudimentary, we just wanted to be sure.
- Perform a factory reset. Note this only resets the internal settings and does not erase any audio files:
https://www.roland.com/us/support/knowledge_base/360051604031/ - The R-26 is compatible with TRS (stereo) headphones only and is not compatible with TRRS connectors. Check the specifications of the headphones being used and use only standard TRS (also known as 3-pole) mini-stereo type headphones:
- Test with different headphones (if available).
- If using an audio adapter to connect the headphones to the R-26, try a different adapter if available.
