The cross-stick feature allows you to tap on the rim of the the snare pad and trigger a snare rim "click" sound. When playing a cross-stick, be sure to lay the stick from "rim to rim" on the snare pad and then tap the rim. Laying one end of the stick on the head may not produce the cross-stick sound. (See attached playing technique example in the image below).
Here's how to activate and adjust the cross-stick sensitivity in the TD-07:
- Press the [
] (SETUP) button.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “PAD,” press the [
] (ENTER) button.
- The PAD screen appears. - Hit the snare pad to select it.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “XStickSens,” and then turn the dial to specify the desired sensitivity value other than “OFF” (1-10). A higher value makes it easier to perform cross sticks with lighter taps.
- When you're finished, press the [
] (DRUM KIT) button to return to the DRUM KIT Screen. The new setting is saved in the Kit automatically.
