The following is troubleshooting information in the event that no microphone sound is being input.
- If the microphone has an ON/OFF switch, set the switch to the ON position.
- If the microphone requires phantom power (48 volts), select the input channel that the microphone is connected to and then press the 48V button so that it illuminates (on).
NOTE: Phantom power is only supplied to the XLR inputs and is not supplied to the 1/4" inputs. - Add input gain to the input channel:
- Press the DISPLAY button to the right of the STUDIO-CAPTURE's display until "INPUT" appears on the screen.
- Select the input channel that the microphone is connected to. Then turn up the PREAMP knob clock-wise while singing or speaking into the microphone until audio level appears in the display. - If speakers are connected, be sure that they're connected to the XLR or 1/4" outputs 1L and 2R on the back panel. Then turn up the MONITOR OUT LEVEL knob while speaking into the microphone.
- If using headphones, connect to one of the two headphone jacks and adjust the LEVEL 1 or 2 while speaking into the microphone.
- Be sure to connect speakers or headphones directly to the Rubix and not to the computer's audio output.
- Try a different audio cable (if one is available).
- Try performing a factory reset and then repeating the steps above:
