No, this instrument does not support that technique.
If you want to hear a sound with a short reverberation that’s like playing while muting the head, edit the Muffling and Decay settings.
Follow the steps below.
- Press “MENU” (F2 button).
- Use the [Λ] [V] buttons to select “Kit Edit,” and then press “SELECT” (F2 button).
- The KIT EDIT screen appears. - Use the [Λ] [V] buttons to select “Instrument,” and then press “SELECT” (F2 button).
- The INSTRUMENT screen appears. - Strike to select the pad that you want to set.
- Press “EDIT” (F2 button).
- The INST EDIT (LAYER A) screen appears. - Use the [Λ] [V] buttons to select “Muffling” or “Decay,” and use the [+] [–] buttons to edit the value.
- For instruments whose specific parameters are “type 1” or “type 2,” you can also set the muffling.
- Larger muffling values make the sound more muted, and smaller decay values make the reverberations shorter.
- If you are using layer B, press “LAYER B” (F2 button) and edit the values so that they are the same as those for layer A. - Once you’ve finished with the settings, press the F1 button several times to return to the top screen.
