You can attach a commercially available taiko strap and play this instrument. To attach a strap, wrap it around the tip of the rod as shown in the illustration (two places).
- If the wrapping is insufficient, the strap might slip or come loose. Fasten it securely to prevent the instrument from dropping.
- If you are using a guitar strap, attach both ends of the strap with strings.
