The Aerophone Pro AE-30 can play an external MIDI sound module via MIDI or USB. The MIDI channels of the AE-30 and the external MIDI sound module must match.
Note: USB connection requires DAW software or a software synthesizer. Some latency may occur.
Connect the AE-30 to the external MIDI sound module using one of the following methods.
- MIDI: Connect the AE-30 MIDI OUT connector to the MIDI IN connector of the external MIDI sound module using a MIDI cable (commercially available).
- USB: Connect the AE-30 USB port (Type-C) to a computer using the included USB cable (Type-C to Type-A), or a commercially available USB cable (Type-C to Type-C). A data transfer cable is required; charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
Match the transmit channel on the AE-30 with the receive channel on the external MIDI sound module. Set the channel on either the external MIDI sound module side, or on the AE-30 using the Aerophone Pro Editor.
- Launch the Aerophone Pro Editor and connect to the AE-30.
To connect to the Aerophone Pro Editor, refer to the Aerophone Pro Editor Owner's Manual. - Tap [EDITOR] at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap [MIDI OUT], then tap [CONTROL].
- Tap the value for [TX Channel] and specify the transmit channel.
- Tap [WRITE] to save, then confirm the destination scene and tap [OK].
