The RC-5 lets you connect a footswitch or expression pedal to the STOP/MEMORY SHIFT jack to control various functions. For example, use a footswitch to stop recording/playback/overdubbing or to switch memories, or use an expression pedal to control parameters such as track or rhythm volume.
See the video below, or follow the steps to set this up.
- Connect your footswitch or expression pedal to the STOP/MEMORY SHIFT jack.
- Press the [SETUP] button.
The SETUP screen appears. - Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to select "CONTROL", and press the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob.
- Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to select CTL1 FUNC, CTL2 FUNC, or EXP FUNC, and press the knob to choose the function.
Note: If you are using a BOSS FS-6 or FS-7 dual footswitch, switch A corresponds to CTL2, and switch B corresponds to CTL1. - Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to select the function.
