On the RC-5, set the tempo and time signature before recording, then record while the rhythm plays.
Setting the tempo
- Press the RHYTHM [TEMPO] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to set the tempo (40.0–300.0).
Note: To set the tempo by tapping, press the RHYTHM [TEMPO] button several times at the desired interval.
Note: Changing the tempo significantly after recording may cause playback issues.
Setting a rhythm pattern and time signature
- Select the memory you want to edit, and long press the RHYTHM [ON/OFF] button.
The rhythm settings screen appears. - Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to select “RHYTHM,” and press the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob.
- Turn the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob to change the value, and then press the [MEMORY/LOOP LEVEL] knob.
- PATTERN: Select the rhythm pattern.
- BEAT: Specifies the time signature of the rhythm.
Note: You cannot change this after the track is recorded. Be sure to set this before recording.
- Long-press the RHYTHM [ON/OFF] button to return to the play screen.
If you want to save the edited settings, execute the write operation.
