Make the following settings to enable the use of brush techniques.
- In the DRUM KIT screen, press the [F5] (MENU) button.
- Press the PAGE [UP] [DOWN] buttons to display page 2 (KIT SETTINGS 2).
- Press the [F1] (BRUSH) button.
- Use the [+] button or the dial to set the value to “ON.”
- The brush icon is shown in the DRUM KIT screen. - Press the [KIT] button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.
Brush performance is available in the following cases.
Select an instrument that supports brush performance, and assign it to the head of the snare.
- Referring to the “Instrument List” in the “TD-50X Data List” (PDF), select an instrument marked with a “*B” as shown in the Remarks column.
When you connect a mesh pad to the TRIGGER IN jack (SNARE), or connect a pad that supports digital connection to a DIGITAL TRIGGER IN port, and set assign to “SNARE.”
- When the Assign setting for the DIGITAL TRIGGER IN jack is set to “SNARE,” sound is not produced from the pad of the SNR (snare) connected via a dedicated cable.
Note: Use nylon brushes. Using metal brushes might make the sensor malfunction, or might scratch the pad.
