Installing the Roland TD-27 driver lets you record each pad to a separate audio track in your DAW.
On the TD-27, set SYSTEM > USB AUDIO > Driver Mode to "VENDOR," then turn the power off and on again.
Next, install the USB driver for your OS from the TD-27 downloads page: https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/td-27/updates_drivers/
In your DAW, select the TD-27 as the USB audio device, then choose the channel for each audio track input.
Channels map as follows:
Ch 1-2: MASTER OUT
Ch 3-4: DIRECT OUT 1-2
Ch 5-6: KICK
Ch 7-8: SNARE
Ch 9-10: TOM 1
Ch 11-12: TOM 2
Ch 13-14: TOM 3
Ch 15-16: HI-HAT
Ch 17-18: CRASH 1
Ch 19-20: CRASH 2
Ch 21-22: RIDE
Ch 23-24: AUX 1
Ch 25-26: AUX 2
Ch 27-28: AUX 3
