Yes. Even if you have subscribed to the Roland Cloud Ultimate membership, you will still need to purchase a Model Pass* separately. This is because the Model Pass available in the BOSS EFFECT LOADER app is a different service from Roland Cloud.
*A “Model Pass” is a ticket you can purchase in the BOSS EFFECT LOADER app. After purchasing, the effects can be loaded into the additional area of the PX-1 through the app. If you want to load the same effect onto multiple PX-1 units, you need to purchase as many Passes as the number of units.
