Keep your V31 up to date to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Details about the changes are provided in the "UPDATE HISTORY" section on the System Program page.
You can update the V31 system program via Wi-Fi or an SD card. Choose the method that best fits your environment.
Important
If you are updating from Ver.1.02, a factory reset is required so that the changes introduced in Ver.1.03 can take effect. If you want to restore your current settings after the update, back them up to an SD card before updating.
If you are updating from Ver.1.03 or later, a factory reset is not required (current as of December 2025). However, creating a backup is still recommended to protect your current settings.

Updating via Wi-Fi
When your V31 is connected to Wi-Fi, a message appears automatically when a new system program is available (factory settings). Refer to “Updating the V31 via Wi-Fi” in the V31 Reference Manual to perform the update.
To check the currently installed version, go to [MENU] > SYSTEM > INFO.
When updating from Ver.1.02
After the update is completed, perform the following steps to apply the changes introduced in Ver.1.03.
- Perform a factory reset ([MENU] > SYSTEM > FACTORY RESET).

Updating via an SD Card
You can also update the system program by copying the update file downloaded on your computer to an SD card (capacity: 32 GB or less).
DOWNLOADING AND UNARCHIVING THE COMPRESSED FILE
- Check the installed version ([MENU] > SYSTEM > INFO).

Access the update page below and download the update file if a new version is available:

- Extract the downloaded file.
- Windows: Right-click the file, select “Extract All”, then click “Extract”.
- macOS: Double-click the file to unzip it.

A folder named “v31_sys_vXXX”* appears.
Example:
*XXX: Version numberNote: Never double-click any file inside the folder or change file names.

Open the “v31_sys_vXXX”* folder and copy the V31_UPA.BIN file to the root directory (the top level of the SD card).
INSTALLING THE UPDATE FILE
- Turn off the V31.
- Insert the SD card containing the update file into the SD card slot on the left side panel.

While holding down the [●] (REC) button, turn the power on.
Keep holding the button until “PROGRAM UPDATER” appears on the display.
The version is shown, and the update starts automatically.
- When “Update finished.” appears, turn the power off and remove the SD card.
- Check the installed version on the INFO Screen.
When updating from Ver.1.02
After the update is completed, perform the following steps to apply the changes introduced in Ver.1.03.
- Perform a factory reset ([MENU] > SYSTEM > FACTORY RESET).
