DD-200 + EV-30 Expression Control Setup Instructions
Use the EV-30 included 1/4" TRS stereo cable for connection from EXP1 OUTPUT to DD-200 EXP INPUT.
A standard guitar cable is 1/4" TS mono and not compatible for use as an expression pedal connection for the EV-30 or any other expression pedal.
Once the EV-30 to DD-200 are connected, make sure to set the EV-30 MIN knob to zero and set the POLARITY to "NORMAL." This will allow a full range sweep from HEEL (ZERO) to TOE (MAX).
You may want to access the DD-200 SYSTEM MENU and define what you'd like to control with the EV-30 EXPRESSION.
Review the following section in your owner's manual:
You can press both the TAP DIVISION and MEMORY buttons simultaneously to enter the SYSTEM SETTINGS MENU.
Turn the TIME KNOB and search for: "EPF for EXPRESSION FUNCTION."
Press the TIME KNOB, and then toggle through different EXPRESSION FUNCTION control options.
Choose one as desired. Once you have chosen the function, press the TAP DIVISION and MEMORY buttons simultaneously to exit.
If you want the EPF/EXPRESSION FUNCTION set to be SYSTEM/GLOBAL for all PATCHES, make sure to set the other menu parameter for EPP/EXPRESSION PREFERENCE to "SYS/SYSTEM GLOBAL."
Otherwise set the EPP/EXPRESSION PREFERENCE to "MEM/MEMORY" and the EPF/EXPRESSION FUNCTION will be patch specific only.
When set to "MEM/MEMORY," the EPF/EXPRESSION FUNCTION will need to be WRITE/SAVED in each MEMORY location.
If EPP/EXPRESSION PREFERENCE is set to SYS/SYSTEM GLOBAL the EPF/EXPRESSION FUNCTION will not have to be WRITE/SAVED per MEMORY location.
See pages 10 and 12 taken from the DD-200 owner's manual below for additional details.
