It is possible to control various functions in the DD-200 using an expression pedal (BOSS FV-500H, FV-500L, EV-30, Roland EV-5). Here's how to setup the desired control:
Using a 1/4" TRS stereo cable (or the attached EV-5's cable), connect the output on the EXP pedal the DD-200 CTL 1,2 / EXP INPUT.
Note:
- A standard 1/4" TS mono guitar/instrument cable is not compatible and cannot be used.
- Set the MIN knob on the pedal to "0."
- If connecting an EV-30, set the polarity switch to "NOR"(Normal), and turn the MIN knob all the way counterclockwise.
To define what you'd like to control in the DD-200, follow these Steps:
- Press the [TAP DIVISION] button and [MEMORY] button simultaneously.
- Turn the [TIME] knob to select "EPF" (Expression Function), then press the [TIME] knob.
- Turn the [TIME] knob to scroll through the different EPF control options.
- Once you have chosen the function, press the [TAP DIVISION] button and [MEMORY] button simultaneously to exit.
If you want the EPF/EXPRESSION FUNCTION set to be SYSTEM/GLOBAL for all memory locations, be sure to set the EPP (Expression Pedal Preference) to "SYS"(SYSTEM GLOBAL). For a patch specific assignment, set the EPP to "MEM" (MEMORY) and the selected function will be stored in each memory.
