You can restore the waveforms and kits on the SPD-SX to their factory default state by loading the Factory Restore data.
Perform the steps below.
NOTE: When you perform the LOAD (USB MEMORY) operation, the data in the SPD-SX will be overwritten. If the SPD-SX contains any important data that you wish to keep, please make sure to save it to a USB flash drive before proceeding.
- Download the "SPD-SX Factory Restore Data" file from Roland - SPD-SX | Sampling Pad
- Extract the downloaded file.
A folder named "spdsx_fact_data" will appear. - Open this folder and copy the "Roland" folder to a USB flash drive (sold separately, up to 32 GB).
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB MEMORY connector.
- Choose MENU > UTILITY > LOAD (USB MEM) > ENTER.
The LOAD (USB MEMORY) screen appears. - Use the cursor [▲] [▼] buttons to select "ALL," and then press the [ENTER] button.
- Use the cursor [▲] [▼] buttons to select the data that you want to load, and then press the [ENTER] button.
A confirmation message appears.
If you decide to cancel without executing, press the [EXIT] button. - Press the [ENTER] button.
The data will be loaded.
