If you are using effectors with your amplifier, connect the NS-2 between the effectors and the amplifier. The NS-2 works as a noise gate, cutting (muting) the noise and hum from the effectors during silent passages, such as breaks between songs.
Once you start playing and sound comes from the guitar, the NS-2 instantly releases the mute and sends the guitar's sound to the amplifier.
