You can connect a footswitch (FS-5U, FS-6, or FS-7) to the VARIATION, MEMORY ▲ jack on the rear panel of the VE-2. This allows you to switch between MEMORY settings/patches, or turn the VARIATION effect on and off using your foot.
- If you connect the FS-5U with a standard mono (TS) cable, it will control the VARIATION on/off function (signal transmitted on TIP). To switch memories using just one FS-5U, you may alternatively use an Insert-Y cable (1/4” TRS male lead > to 2 - 1/4” TS male leads), as shown in the image above. We recommend choosing and use either the TIP (VARIATION) or RING (MEMORY) then tape off/insulate the unused plug lead, you may use a plug sleeve or vinyl tape to ensure stable operation.
- The FS-6 and FS-7 A / B Dual Footswitch are also supported.
For connection details, connect via 1/4" TRS stereo cable, from A+B jack (FS-6) or B+A jack (FS-7) to the VARIATION, MEMORY jack on the VE-2. Use the above diagram for listed functions.
