Yes. The RD-2000 and RD-2000 EX support the 3-pedal unit RPU-3. When the RPU-3 is connected, you can play using the pedals just like on a grand piano: the Damper, Sostenuto, and Soft pedals.
The following explains how to connect and configure the RPU-3.
Connecting the RPU-3 to the Piano
Connect the RPU-3 plugs to the piano’s pedal jacks as shown below.

Follow the steps below to configure the settings.
Pedal Mode Setup Procedure

- Press the [MENU] button.
- Use the cursor buttons to select “System,” then press the [ENTER] button.
The SYSTEM EDIT screen appears. - Press the cursor [◀] [▶] buttons to switch to the “Pedal Mode” tab.
- Use the [DEC]/[INC] buttons or the Value dial to change the setting.
- PROGRAM: Pedal settings change when switching programs.
- REMAIN: Pedal settings remain unchanged when switching programs.
- Press the [WRITE] button to save the system settings.
- Press the [MENU] button.
Assigning Functions (Sostenuto, Soft)

- While holding down the [SHIFT] button, press the center pedal on the RPU-3.
- Use the Value dial to make the following setting:
FC2 Func: CC66 (SOSTENUTO) - Use the cursor buttons to move to FC1 Func, then use the Value dial to make the following setting:
FC1 Func: CC67 (SOFT) - Press the [WRITE] button to save the program.
* Depending on the tone, the Sostenuto or Soft effect may not be applied, or it may be difficult to notice.
