RD-2000, RD-2000 EX: Can I use the RPU-3 Pedal Unit with the RD-2000/RD-2000 EX?

Yes. Connect the RPU-3's plugs (R, C, L) to the RD-2000 or RD-2000 EX's PEDAL jacks (DAMPER, FC1, FC2), and configure the following settings in PROGRAM EDIT.

1. Select a Program.
   1. Press the [PROGRAM] button to make it light.
   2. Use the BANK [UP] [DOWN] buttons to select the program bank (A–O).
   3. Use the [DEC] [INC] buttons or value dial to select the program number.
2. Press the [EDIT] button.
   The PROGRAM EDIT MENU screen appears.
   
3. Use the value dial to select "Zone Edit", and press the [ENTER] button.
4. Use the cursor buttons to select the PEDAL SW tab.
5. Use the cursor buttons and value dial to mark the zone you want to control with a pedal (Damper, FC1, FC2).
6. Press the [EDIT] button.
7. Use the value dial to select "Pedal", and press the [ENTER] button. 
8. Use the cursor buttons and value dial to set the value as follows:
   • FC1 Func: CC67 (Soft)
   • FC2 Func: CC66 (Sostenuto) 
9. To save the changes, press the [WRITE] button.
10. Edit the program name as needed, and select the save-destination, then press the [ENTER] button twice to execute.
