The input level on the IR-200 may not be set to a value that’s appropriate for the guitar’s output level.
You can improve the sound quality by adjusting the LEVEL parameter for INPUT.
The IR-200 can store 10 kinds of input settings (SETTING 1–10). You can set an input for each memory, or you can set the same input for all memories.
Follow the steps below:
Getting ready
Setting a different input level for each guitar in SETTING 1–10 of the PREF parameter
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “SYSTEM” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “INPUT” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to display SETTING.
- Turn the [AMP] (SETTING) knob to select a setting (1–10).
- Set the LEVEL so that when you play the guitar strongly, the “△” icon displays as “▲”.
- Select the SETTING 1–10 for each guitar you use, and adjust the LEVEL.
Specifying input settings for each memory
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “SYSTEM” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “INPUT” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [AMP] (PREF) knob to select “MEMORY.”
- Press the [EXIT] button a number of times to return to the TOP screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to select the memory to use.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “MEMORY” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “INPUT” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [AMP] (SETTING) knob to select the SETTING number of the input setting to specify.
- Press the [MENU] and [EXIT] buttons at the same time to save the settings.
- Repeat steps 6–11 to set the input settings for each memory.
Specifying the same input settings for all memories
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “SYSTEM” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to switch the page, and push the knob below the “INPUT” indication on the screen.
- Turn the [AMP] (PREF) knob to select a setting (1–10).
- All memories now use the same input settings.
- At this time, the SETTING parameter for MEMORY > INPUT is set to “SYSTEM.”
