MICRO BR BR-80: Removing Silence at the Beginning of a Recording (Track Move)

Track move is useful if you need to get rid of unwanted silence at the beginning of a track by moving your recorded material to zero on the timeline.

1. Use the left and right cursor buttons and the dial to select the move-source
   track/V-track (SOURCE) and move-destination track/ V-track (DEST).
   
   Notes:

• If you need to remove silence from all individual tracks, this process will need to be repeated for each track.
• If you want to remove silence from just a Bounce or Master mixdown, then select this from both the Source track and Destination track. For example: If you bounced to Track 7/8 Virtual track 8, you will select:
  SOURCE   [ TR7/8  -  V8 ]
  DEST         [ TR7/8  -  V8 ]

1. Press the [ENTER] button. The time setting screen will appear.
   
2. START:
   Use the cursor buttons and the dial to select the START time of the material--when the audio actually begins to play.
   • For example (TIME): if there are 30 seconds of silence at the beginning of the recording that you want to remove, you would select: "START : 00:00:30.00".
     For example (MEASURE): if the recording begins on measure 15, you would select: "START : 005-01".
3. END:
   Use the cursor buttons and the dial to select the END time of the material--the end of the song.
4. TO:
   Use the cursor buttons and the dial to select zero on the timeline:
   • TO  :  00:00:00.00" (TIME)
   • TO  :  001-01 (MEASURE)
5. To carry out the move, press the [ENTER] button. A message will ask “Are you sure?”
6. Press the [ENTER] button. The move will be carried out.
