If the pitch on the Aerophone Pro AE-30 does not change correctly, an unintended key may be pressed during playing. Check the following points.
Common causes
- Pressing the octave keys with the thumb
- Pressing the keys outlined in red in the image (C1, C2, C3, C4, Tc, Ta) with the palm
- Pressing the keys outlined in blue in the image ([X], [P], C5)
- Pressing an unintended key with the ball of the finger
Play notes deliberately at a slower tempo to confirm that the instrument is producing the correct pitches.
Isolating the cause
- Changing the fingering mode to "Recorder" disables the side keys. If the pitches sound correctly in Recorder fingering mode, the side keys may have been pressed unintentionally.
- The Aerophone Lesson app (iOS/Android) includes a fingering check mode that shows which keys are being pressed on the screen of a mobile device.
- In addition to the fingering check mode, the Aerophone Lesson app (for iOS and Android devices) features tutorial videos on how to hold and operate your instrument, a menu for practicing scales, songs for practicing with accompaniment, music streaming playback on your smartphone or tablet connected via Bluetooth, and other contents. See the Web page below for details.
