The TD-27 contains a feature called "Fixed Hi-hat" which lets you apply a specific closed, half open, or open sound to the Hi-hat instruments without having to control them from the pedal. This can be useful while using a double bass drum pedal setup, and you want a closed (fixed) sound from the Hi-hat when taking your foot off the Hi-hat pedal. The Fixed HH feature can be enabled in each Kit. Here's how:
- Choose a Kit to edit.
- Press the [KIT EDIT] button.
- Press the cursor left or right button until "INSTRUMENT" is flashing.
- Press the [ENTER] button.
- Hit the Hi-hat pad to select it.
- If necessary, press the function 1 button to select the INST tab.
- Cursor right to highlight "Fixed."
- Turn the main dial to choose the desired Fixed setting;
- NORMAL
- PRESS
- CLOSE
- HALF
- OPEN
- Press the [DRUM KIT] button when you're finished.
- The new setting is saved in the Kit automatically.
