TD-50X: How to Keep the Hi-hat Closed with a Double Bass Drum Pedal

On the TD-50X, the Fixed Hi-hat setting keeps the hi-hat sound locked to a set openness instead of following the hi-hat pedal. This is useful with a double bass drum pedal setup, where you want the hi-hat to stay closed even after taking your foot off the pedal.

1. Press the [KIT] button, then use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to select the Kit to edit.
2. Press the [INSTRUMENT] button.
3. Strike the Hi-hat pad to select it.
4. Press the [F2] (BASIC 1) button.
   If necessary, press the PAGE [UP] button first to display page 1.
5. Turn the [R1] knob to choose NORMAL, PRESS, CLOSE, HALF1, HALF2, or OPEN.
6. Press the [KIT] button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.
   The setting is saved automatically.
