The BR-80's internal drum machine can be used to program a count-in with a metronome or drum sound while in MTR Mode. The following example will program a two measure count-in using a 4/4 metronome.
NOTE: Creating a new song is recommended so that you can start from an empty arrangement.
- Press the power button a number of times until "MTR" is illuminated on the BR-80.
- Turn the data dial to select "SONG" on the screen and then press ENTER.
- Turn the data dial to select "NEW" on the screen and then press ENTER three times. A new song file will be created
- Press the RHYTHM button so that the RHYTHM screen appears.
- Press the rewind button
so that the the cursor symbol
is set to measure 1. - Use the CURSOR buttons and data dial to make the following settings:
TYPE: METRONOME
PATTERN: 020 Metro4/4
LENGTH: 002(001)
- Note: the number before the parenthesis indicates how many times the pattern will play; the number within the parenthesis indicates how long the pattern is. For example: "002(001)" means that the pattern will play twice and that the pattern is 1 measure long.
TEMPO: Set to desired tempo - Press EXIT.
- A count-in is now setup.
