Calibrating the VH-10 hihat in the TD-07 is crucial for optimal triggering results. After attaching the HH and HHC cables correctly to the VH-10, be sure to follow these Steps to calibrate it within the TD-07:
- With the hi-hat completely separated from the motion sensor unit, power-on the TD-07.
- Loosen the clutch on the VH-10, and then let the pad drop down and rest onto the motion sensor.
- On the TD-07, press the [
] (SETUP) button.
- Use the cursor [<] [>] buttons to select “PAD,” and then press the [
] (ENTER) button.
- Cursor right [>] to select "VH-Set," and then press [
].
- Turn the open/close nut on the top of the clutch in the direction that's recommended within the TD-07's display.
For example, if the display shows "Turn screw L," that means you should turn the nut counterclockwise (to the Left) until "OK" appears. Note that the nut may take several rotations before there is a reaction in the display, and if/when turning clockwise, it can get rather tight - which is normal.
After "OK! [EXIT]" (below) appears, the calibration process is complete. - Press the [
] DRUM KIT button to exit, and then readjust the VH-10 pad height and tighten the clutch.
- The new calibration value is saved automatically.
