TD-50, TD-50X: No Sound When Hitting the Pads While the Trigger Activity Indicator Lights

On the TD-50 and TD-50X, if the TRIGGER ACTIVITY indicator lights when you strike a pad, the pad and its cable are working correctly. If you still don't hear sound, check the following:

1. Connect headphones to a PHONES jack on the front panel, and turn up the PHONES volume knob.
2. Make sure the faders are up.
3. Check that Local Control is set to "ON":
   1. Press the [SETUP] button.
   2. Press the PAGE [DOWN] button to display page 2 (SETUP MENU 2).
   3. Press the [F1] (MIDI) button.
   4. Press the [F1] (BASIC) button.
   5. Cursor down to "Local Control."
   6. Turn the dial to select "ON."
      If this is "OFF," the performance data from the pads is not connected to the sound generator section.
   7. Press the [KIT] button.
      The new setting is saved automatically.
