GX-100: Restoring the unit to its factory-set default state (Factory Reset)

Factory Reset restores the BOSS GX-100 settings to their original factory values. The reset range can be specified. Refer to "Restoring the Factory Settings (Factory Reset)" in the GX-100 Reference Manual, or follow the steps below.

Note: Factory Reset erases all saved settings. Before proceeding, back up data using the All Data Backup function in BOSS Tone Studio for GX-100 (available for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android).

1. Press the [MENU] button
   
2. Touch <Factory Reset>
   

3. Specify the factory reset range by using the [1], [2] knobs to set <FROM> and <TO>.
   For example, SYSTEM to SYSTEM will reset only your SYSTEM SETTINGS.

   MEMO: You can also use knob [1] below the screen to set the "FROM" value, or knob [4] to set the "TO" value.
    

4. Touch <EXEC: [WRITE]>.
   
   A confirmation message appears.
   
   Touch <OK> to execute the factory reset.
   To cancel, touch <CANCEL>.
   Once your factory reset has completed, you will return to the PLAY SCREEN.
