JUNO-X: How do I use an external MIDI keyboard to play this instrument, in the same way as using the keyboard on the JUNO-X?

Use the “Remote Kbd” setting if you want to play the multiple parts of this instrument in the same way as when using the keyboard on the JUNO-X, from an external MIDI keyboard or by playing back MIDI tracks on your DAW.

Follow the steps below.

1. Press the [MENU] (WRITE) button.

2. Use the [∧ SELECT V] knob to select “SYSTEM”, and then press the [ENTER] (INIT) button.

3. Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “SYSTEM”.

4. Use the [∧ SELECT V] knob to select MIDI > Remote Kbd.

5. Use the [- VALUE +] knob to select the connector to use for inputting external MIDI messages.

   USB COM	USB COMPUTER port
   USB MEM	USB MEMORY port

6. If you want to save the setting, execute the System Write operation.

   1. Hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [MENU] (WRITE) button.
      The WRITE MENU screen appears.

   2. Use the [∧ SELECT V] knob to select “SYSTEM”, and then press the [ENTER] (INIT) button.

   3. To execute, press the [ENTER] (INIT) button.
