The Roland GO:MIXER PRO-X lets you connect a guitar or bass directly and record into your smartphone with ease.
This article shows you how to set it up and adjust the levels for the best sound.
- Connect the GO:MIXER PRO-X to the smart device via the included USB cable.
Be sure that the GO:MIXER PRO-X's POWER light is illuminated green (on). - Turn the [HEADPHONE/SMARTPHONE OUT] knob completely counter-clockwise (off).
Note: Lower the volume of any unused inputs on the GO:MIXER PRO X (such as keyboards, microphones, etc). - Connect headphones to the HEADPHONE/HEADSET jack.
- Connect your guitar or bass to the GUITAR/BASS jack.
When connecting a guitar or bass with an active pickup, use the [PAD GUITAR/BASS] switch to reduce the input signal to lower the amount of distortion.
Notes:- If connecting a guitar or bass directly, plug the 1/4" cable into the GUITAR/BASS jack on the right.
- If you’re routing your guitar or bass through an effect device, connect it to the INSTRUMENT jack(s) on the left.
- Turn up the volume on the guitar or bass itself as well as the volume of any effect device.
- As a starting point, raise the [GUITAR/BASS] knob to the 12 o'clock position (pointing straight up).
- While playing the guitar or bass, gradually raise the volume using the [GUITAR/BASS] knob.
- Adjust the [HEADPHONE/SMARTPHONE OUT] knob until the “PEAK” light next to the [GUITAR/BASS] input only flashes occasionally.
