To do this in the TD-17, you would need to "pan" the kick instrument to either the L or R output and then turn off any effects that may be applied in each Kit.
Here are the Steps:
- Choose a Kit to edit.
- Press the LEVEL button.
- Press F3(PAN).
- Hit the kick pad to select it.
- Turn the main dial to adjust the panning (L30 – CTR – R30).
- Hit each of the other pads one-by-one and set each pad so the panning is opposite of the kick.
- For example, if you pan the kick full left(L30), set the panning for all other pads full right (R30). - Next, press the "OTHERS" button and then check the AMBIENCE and MFX menus to confirm they are turned off.
- If they are on, then those effects will route to both the L/MONO and R outputs on the TD-17, and you will not get complete isolation from the panning settings. - Press the DRUM KIT button when you're finished. The new settings are saved in the Kit automatically.
- Repeat the Steps for any other Kits as desired.
