To use the cross-stick technique with the TD-07, use a pad that supports rim shots, such as the PD-10H. To check which pads support rim shots and the corresponding pad type for each pad, refer to the “PAD Type list” in the TD-07 Owner’s Manual.
Follow these steps to configure the pad:
- Connect the pad to the “SN” connector of the dedicated connection cable.
- Press the [
] (SETUP) button.
- Use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select “PAD”, and then press the [
] (ENTER) button.
The PAD screen appears. - Strike the connected snare pad to select it.
- Use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select “Type”, and then use the dial to select the pad type that matches the connected pad.
- Use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select “XStickSens,” and then use the dial to set the value from 1 to 10.
Set this to a value other than “OFF”. Increasing the value causes the cross-stick sound to be heard even for a softer rim shot.
Note: With some snare sounds, the cross-stick and rim shot sounds may not be produced separately.
