The TD-17KVX box may include extra cymbal pad mounting parts (cymbal stopper, felt washer, and cymbal nut) that are not used with the MDS-COMPACT stand/rack that ships with the TD-17KVX. These parts can be set aside or discarded.
Each MDS-COMPACT cymbal stand has a black stopper permanently attached to the top. Mount the cymbal pad directly on top of this stopper, add the felt washer, and secure the pad with the cymbal nut, in that order. The tie-wraps included with the stand can then be used to secure the cables if desired.
