Version 1.11 for the TD-27 adds support for the VH-14D Digital Hihat.
To perform the update, you'll first need an SD card. Any card 32GB or smaller in size will work with the TD-27. They can be found at most all retailers either in-store or online that sell computer accessories. When using an SD card for the first time, please format it on the TD‑27 (SYSTEM > SD CARD > FORMAT).
From there, download the system 1.11 (or later) update file, to which you can find here: https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/td-27/updates_drivers/
Detailed instructions are included on a pdf within the download. Essentially, you'll transfer/copy the update(UPA.bin) file from the computer to the top level on the SD card. (Be sure not to place the file inside the Roland folder on the SD card). After it is copied to the card, you should see both the UPA.bin and Roland folder within the same view.
Then, insert the card into the TD-27 and power it on while holding the Song Record button which will initiate the update process.
