You can import an audio file (WAV/AIFF/MP3) from a USB flash drive or from your computer into the SPD-SX PRO to play back as a wave. The audio file formats supported for import are shown below.
When importing from a USB flash drive
For details on how to import the data, refer to “Importing an Audio File (IMPORT)”.
Note: Filenames that contain Japanese characters (including double-byte characters) cannot be correctly displayed.

When importing data from the SPD-SX PRO APP
Drag the wave files to import and drop them onto the wave list.
Note: Files whose names or paths contain multi-byte characters (double-byte or greater) cannot be imported.

- Imported files are converted to 48 kHz/16-bit format. The sound quality of the imported files may change, depending on the format.
- Although this unit has been tested to operate using the above file formats, we cannot guarantee that these file formats will work in every situation.
- Loop point settings in AIFF files are disabled.
- If you attempt to import an audio file whose format is not supported by the SPD-SX PRO, the error message “Wave Unsupported Format!” appears, and the file cannot be imported.
- Audio files that are shorter than 20 ms or longer than one hour can’t be imported.
