You can synchronize the tempo of the SPD-SX PRO to an external MIDI device or a DAW.
Connect the devices to each other according to the host/remote combination, and follow the steps in “Configuring the Overall MIDI Settings for the SPD-SX PRO (SYSTEM MIDI)” to configure the sync parameters.
