If the pedal switch sustains notes when released rather than when pressed, the polarity between the E-X50 and the pedal switch may not match. Follow the steps below to correct the polarity.
- Turn off the E-X50.
- Disconnect the pedal switch from the SUSTAIN jack, then reconnect it.
- Turn on the E-X50.
The polarity of the connected pedal switch is detected during startup. - Check that the pedal switch sustains notes as expected.
