ME-80: Connecting to Computer

Order of operations and procedure to connect ME-80 with your computer.

1. Connect your ME-80 via USB 2.0 directly to your computer USB 2.0 port.
   * Make sure to use a USB cable that supports data transfer.
2. Power on the ME-80.
3. Install the USB Device Driver for the ME-80 and your Computer OS and Version.
   Note: If using Windows 10/11, USB Device Drivers will auto download and install.
   The Windows 10/11 system needs to be connected to the internet for the download to commence.

4. Connect to the app.
   • BOSS TONE STUDIO
     1. Install an Adobe Air Update on your computer: https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime
     2. Install the most recent BOSS TONE STUDIO Version for your computer OS, (Mac or Windows).

     3. Launch BOSS TONE STUDIO.

   • DAW: The ME-80’s sound can be recorded on a computer, and sound from the computer can be played through the ME-80’s Gt. AMP OUTPUT jacks or REC OUT/PHONES jack.

     1. In the USB audio device settings of your DAW, select ME-80.
     2. If necessary, adjust the following parameters in the system settings screen.
        • USB LEVEL
        • USB DIRECT MONITOR
        • USB LOOPBACK
        • USB DRY REC
