When possible we recommend using the BOSS FS series footswitch connected via 1/4" TRS cable to the Foot Control jack on the back panel of the KATANA-50 MKII amp. This would allow for foot switching the amp BANK A / BANK B and CH 1 / CH 2.
All BOSS footswitch options are:
- BOSS FS-6 (battery powered only), set to FS-5L mode, connect via 1/4" TRS cable.
- BOSS FS-7(PSA powered only), set to FS-5L mode, connect via 1/4" TRS cable.
- BOSS FS-5L (x 1 single function to toggle CH1 and CH2), connect via 1/4" TS mono unbalanced guitar/instrument cable.
- BOSS FS-5L (x 2 may be used for dual function), connect via, an Insert-Y cable (dual 1/4" TS mono to 1/4" TRS cable).
If using any BOSS A/B Dual footswitch use footswitch A, to toggle between, BANK A and BANK B.
Use footswitch B, to toggle between, CH1 and CH2. The KATANA-50 MKII only has four Channels available: BANK A: CH1 and CH2, BANK B: CH1 and CH2.
NOTE: the KATANA-50 MKII is not compatible with the GA-FC and does not support a GA-FC jack.
If GA-FC functionality is desired, upgrade to a KATANA-50 MKII EX, or KATANA-100 MKII/COMBO/HEAD/ARTIST/ARTIST HEAD.
