RP701: Restoring the Factory Settings (Factory Reset)

You can restore the factory settings of the RP701 by performing a factory reset.

NOTE: Factory Reset erases all settings that you have stored, and returns them to the factory-set condition. For details on the settings that are reset, refer to “Settings Saved Even If the Power Is Turned Off” in the RP701 / F701 Owner's Manual.

Executing this function does not erase the files in internal memory or on a USB flash drive (commercially available). If you want to erase all files from internal memory or from a USB flash drive ( > Format Media >  USB Memory).

1. Press the [] (settings) button.
   The button is lit, and the piano is in function mode.
2. Turn the [] (select/confirm) knob to access “Factory Reset” screen, and then press the same knob.
   A confirmation message appears.
   
   If you decide to cancel, press the BACK button.
3. Turn the [] (select/confirm) knob to select “Yes,” and press the same knob to confirm.
   The memory is reset to its factory values.
   NOTE: Never turn off the power or remove the USB flash drive while the screen indicates “Executing...”
4. Turn the power off, then on again.
