The hammer action keyboard used in our digital pianos generates a mechanical sound, such as a light clacking noise, due to its structural design when the keys are played. Pedal operation may also produce physical noise or vibration, and these cannot be reduced using the piano settings.
If you are concerned about these sounds, we recommend using a soundproof and vibration-damping mat, as well as sound-absorbing boards or insulators.
- When placing a mat or insulators under the piano, choose items that will not compromise the stability of the instrument.
- Depending on your living environment, consider similar noise-control measures to those used for audio equipment or musical instruments.
- If the piano is placed directly against a wall, vibrations are more likely to be transmitted to the wall. We recommend positioning the piano about 10 to 15 cm (approximately 4 to 6 inches) away from the wall.
