The DS-90A monitors allow you to connect a digital sound source (such as a VS recorder or VM mixer) via their Coaxial or Optical digital inputs.
Follow the steps below to make the connection:

Connect your digital source to the appropriate digital input on one of the DS-90A units.

Use a coaxial digital cable for a coaxial connection, or a commercially available optical cable for an optical connection.

If you are using a pair of DS-90As, connect the digital source to the digital input of only one speaker. The signal will be passed to the other DS-90A via the THRU connector.

Set the Digital Input Select switch to match the type of input (COAXIAL or OPTICAL) you are using.

Set the ASSIGN switch:

For stereo use, set the left speaker to L and the right speaker to R.

For single-speaker use, set this to L+R.

Power on your digital source.
When a valid digital signal is detected, the DIGITAL IN indicator on the DS-90A will illuminate.
