The Roland FC-200 MIDI Foot Controller can be powered by batteries or power supply (BOSS PSA Series*). The power switch on the back of the FC-200 has three positions: ON, ECONOMY and OFF. The ON position turns on the power whether you are using batteries or the PSA adaptor. The ECONOMY position can be selected as an option when batteries are being used. This helps to extend the life of the batteries.
Note: When using Economy mode, the display may flicker or be less bright. This does not affect the operation of the FC-200.
*The FC-200 draws 125 mA. Any PSA adaptor (200mA/500mA) is compatible. To learn more about the PSA series, see also this article: BOSS PSA adaptor: Specification Differences by Model
