KTN-GO and KTN-GO2
There are two different external designs for the KATANA:GO corresponding to the period in which they are sold. This manual only features illustrations for one of these designs, but there is no difference in functionality or sound quality between the two. For details, see “About the external design of the KATANA:GO” (BOSS website).

To edit the effects of KATANA:GO, you will need the BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA:GO (iOS, Android) app. You can use the BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA:GO app to edit sounds and manage the sound library.
NOTE: Effects cannot be edited in KATANA:GO unit.
Perform the steps below:
- Install BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA:GO on your mobile device.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.roland.boss_katana_go_editor&hl=en - In your mobile device’s settings, turn Bluetooth on.
Note: Do not tap “KATANA:GO MIDI” if it is shown in the Bluetooth settings of the mobile device. If
you tapped this, temporarily cancel the device registration. - Press the [
] (Bluetooth) button on the KATANA:GO to show the PAIRING screen.
- Start the “BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA:GO” app that you installed in your mobile device.
The “Terms of Use” screen is shown.
Note: Enable the Bluetooth function and location data when the app prompts you to do so during startup. - After reading the “Terms of Use”, tap “AGREE”.
- Tap “CONNECT” as shown on the BLUETOOTH SETUP screen.
- If “Bluetooth Pairing Request” appears, tap “Pair”.
The editor screen is shown once the connection is made. - On the EDITOR screen, select the memory you want to edit.
- Tap "EFFECTS" to open the editing screen, then tap <EDIT> for the desired effect.
- When editing is complete, tap the [WRITE] button, and then tap “WRITE” in the list.
- Select the save destination (memory), enter a name, and tap the [WRITE] button.
When the data is saved, it overwrites the memory on the KATANA:GO. The previous settings cannot be recovered. Select a memory you don’t mind overwriting.
