The tones you play with the onboard keyboard of the FP-90 / FP-60 can be selected from the panel or from an external MIDI application, such as a DAW. However, if you specify the tone by sending MIDI messages from a DAW, the sound played from the piano keyboard will depend on the SMF Play Mode setting.
If you want to play the piano with the tone specified from the DAW, you need to perform the following operations:
-
Send Bank Select (CC00, CC32) and Program Change messages from the DAW via MIDI Channel 4
- Please refer to "Tone List" in the FP-90 / FP-60 MIDI Implementation for specific Bank Selects and Program Changes. -
Set the SMF Play Mode to "Internal"
Hold down the [] button and use the [-] [+] buttons to select "Internal".
- Please refer to "Various Settings (Function Mode)" in the FP-90 Owner's Manual or FP-60 Owner's Manual.
