Use the dedicated IR loader (software) to load IR data into your IR-200.
You will need the following:
- IR-200 unit updated to the latest firmware version
- USB driver (Windows, macOS)
- IR-200 IR Loader (Windows, macOS)
* You can download the firmware update, USB device driver, and IR Loader from https://www.boss.info/global/products/ir-200/downloads/ - micro USB B type cable to USB 2.0 A (data transfer supported)
Follow the steps below:
- Update the firmware on the IR-200.
- Install the USB device driver for your specific computer operating system/OS and version.
- Install the IR Loader for your specific computer OS.
- Download “IR-200 IR Loader”.
- Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it.
(Right mouse click the download, and choose EXTRACT ALL on WINDOWS)- Windows:
- Once the download has been extracted and decompressed, double-click “IR-200 IR Loader Installer.exe.”
- Proceed with installation as directed by the installation screens.
- When you see the message “Completing the IR-200 IR Loader Setup Wizard,” click the [Finish] button.
- Mac:
- Once downloaded, the download will be auto extracted, and a folder created by the decompressed file, double-click “IR-200 IR Loader Installer.pkg.”
- Proceed with installation as directed by the installation screens.
- When the display indicates “The installation was successful. The software was installed.,” click the [Close] button.
- Windows:
- Connect the IR-200 to your computer, with a commercially available micro USB B type to USB 2.0 A data cable, specifically connect to a USB 2.0 A port if available. If no USB 2.0 A port is available, use a USB-HUB adapter, to provide a compatible USB 2.0 A port for proper connectivity.
- Start IR Loader.
- Windows: In the [Start] menu, choose [IR-200] > [IR-200 IR Loader].
- Mac: From the Finder, in the application/BOSS/IR-200 folder, double-click [IR-200 IR Loader(.app)].
- Choose “IR-200” for “Choose a device to connect with.” and then click the [OK] button.
- Click the
icon.
A dialog box for opening the file appears. -
Select the IR file.
Format of IR data that can be loaded:Format (extension) WAV (.wav) Sampling frequency 44.1, 48, 96kHz Bit rate 16/24-bit linear format,
32-bit floating pointLength 200, 500ms - Select the IR data that you want to load, and click the [Open] button.
This loads the data into the IR-200.
If the IR data is in stereo, the following dialog box appears. Choose one of the channels and click the [OK] button.
- It might take some time for IR data to be converted.
- The converted IR data is automatically given a name. You can edit this name as necessary. - Save the memory.
