KATANA ARTIST HEAD GEN 3: How do I perform a Factory Reset?

Here's how to restore the KATANA ARTIST HEAD GEN 3 settings to their factory-set condition (Factory Reset).

Note: To keep your current settings, use BOSS TONE STUDIO to back them up as a LIVESET on your computer before performing a Factory Reset. For instructions, refer to the "Using BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA Gen3" manual.

1. Turn the power OFF.
   Before switching off the power, lower the volume on each of the devices in your system.
2. Without any other devices connected, turn on the power while holding down the [PANEL] button.
   Each of the EFFECTS buttons continues blinking consecutively from the left.
   When the blinking stops, all settings return to the factory-set state.
   
   It takes approximately 30 seconds to complete. Don't turn off the power while the Factory Reset is in progress.

For details on the effects assigned to each knob in the factory default state, refer to the "Effects assigned to each knob when the unit is shipped" section in the KATANA3 Reference Manual.

A Factory Reset restores the default settings for the current system version. For example, if the unit has been updated to version 1.06, the Factory Reset will restore default settings while keeping version 1.06 intact. Another system update is not required.
