If the sustain pedal behaves in reverse (sustains when released, cuts off when pressed), the pedal polarity may not match. This is not a malfunction. Polarity varies by manufacturer.
To fix this:
- Turn off the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P).
- Unplug the pedal, then reconnect it firmly.
- Turn the unit back on.
Note: The GO-88P detects pedal polarity at startup. Do not press the pedal until the unit is fully powered on. - Confirm the pedal now works as intended.
