If you find that the pedal switch (sold separately) connected to the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P) does not sustain the note you play when the pedal is pressed but sustains the note when the pedal is not pressed instead, the polarity of the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P) and the pedal switch may not be matching.
NOTE: This is not a malfunction of the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P). It occurs because the polarity of sustain pedals can vary depending on the manufacturer.
Follow the steps below to match the pedal switch polarity.
- Turn off the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P).
- Disconnect the plug of the pedal switch from the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P) and re-plug it back for sure.
- Turn on the GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P).
- The GO:PIANO88 (GO-88P) detects the polarity of the plugged pedal switch while booting. - Check if the sound is sustained by pressing the pedal switch as intended.
