A factory reset returns all KATANA (1st generation) settings to their factory-set state, as described below.
Note:
- A factory reset erases all current settings. To keep them, back up the settings as a LIVESET using BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA beforehand. This requires the latest system program and USB driver to be installed. For steps, refer to the Using BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA manual.
- A factory reset does not affect the installed system version.
- Turn the power off.
Before switching off the power, lower the volume on each of the devices in your system. -
While holding down the [PANEL] button, turn the power on.
Each of the EFFECTS buttons continues blinking consecutively from the left. When the blinking stops, all of the KATANA’s settings return to the factory-set state.
It takes approximately 30 seconds for the factory reset to be completed. Don’t turn off the power while the factory reset is in progress.
